We love Teresa Pemberton

We love Teresa Pemberton‘s work. Here’s what she says…
“My work is rooted in the nature and effects of landscape and seascape through changing emotions, movement, light and colour. The visual language used reflects the constant connection with the elements through daily walks. From initial response to a subject, after observational drawing, the imagination takes over and instinct and innovation produce compelling canvases full of beauty and feeling.
Subjects range from land and seascape to still life objects, gardens or environmental effects such as climate change or recycling issues. Current work concerns the surface textures and patterns of lily ponds inspired by a recent trip to the Eden Project. This work is taking a more abstract direction, with experimental use of stencil shapes and the contrasts between flat and decorative surfaces. The “Pond” body of work is growing, and some paintings are on show in venues in Plymouth during the British Art Show from l6 September.”
